What is the air conditioner compressor?
An air conditioning compressor is the part of the air conditioning system that compresses cool, low pressure gas into a hot, high pressure gas. The compression of this gas is the first part in a multi-step process that helps keep the area cool. Though the compressor is an important part of the air conditioning system, if any one of these parts fail, the unit will fail.
What is the air conditioner oil?
Compressor oil or Lubricant Compressor oil is a necessary component in any air conditioning system that uses compressor in its compression system. There are three main purposes of the oil. They are used for lubrication, removal of heat and for sealing.
Air conditioner oil in the compressor gradually decreases.
Normally, the A/C compressor contain an appropriate amount of air conditioning oil, but the oil in the A/C compressor gradually decreases due to friction when the pulley spins. If you hear a squeaking noise when you turn on the air conditioner, it is a sign that the air conditioning oil is low. This small work help the A/C compressor last longer.
